Dear Michelle,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for helping my daughter [—]. I have found the restorative justice program to be very helpful to her in understanding how her actions affect others. The meeting with the store manager was difficult for her, but she could look the woman in the eye with a smile afterward. Also, the community service hours helped her feel she could earn back trust. Once again, I thank you.

Dear Michelle,

I’d like to thank both you and the Restorative Justice Program for your assistance. It has been a pleasure to participate in this process with you, the facilitator, and the RCMP. Should similar circumstances arise again in the future, we would welcome the opportunity to participate in this process again. The work you all do to support an alternative justice program in the community of Fort St. John is an asset to us all.

Thanks you again for your assistance in resolving this matter to the satisfaction of all who were involved!

To Whom it May Concern,

I am in total support of this organization. My daughter, the age of 16 had an incident with theft of a CD, approximate value of $24.99. She was caught by the store security, police were called and my daughter was put into this program.

Without this program she would have had a criminal record. She has now completed her community hours, meetings with all involved, an essay with her apologies.

My daughter now realizes her mistake and I know that she will never offend like this again. There were two others involved and they feel the same way.

I have also signed up to be a volunteer to help with the program, this is how much I BELIEVE in this program!

I will close by commenting the professionalism that this program brought to all that were involved. I thank the community justice program and staff for supporting our child and family through this difficult time. They are also a definite key for my child not to reoffend.
