As a non-profit agency North Peace Justice Society has many volunteer opportunities.

Once per year training is offered to become a volunteer Justice Forum Facilitator. This is a three day training session that takes place at no cost to the trainees. Trainees can work toward certification with the files referred to our Restorative Justice program. Certification will allow for volunteering with any other Restorative Justice program in BC.

Facilitator training is a great oportunity for Criminology and Social Work students, for example, looking to gain experience in this field. This training is also useful for teachers to use with students. There are no prerequisites to taking the training. This training is open to anyone with the time and interest in the safety and health of our community.

Our Board of Directors are also a group of dedicated volunteers. North Peace Justice Society always welcomes new interests to the Board. The AGM and monthly board meetings are open to the public.

For those individuals who enjoy working with youth, there are many opportunities to act in a mentoring role while the Restorative Justice participants complete their Justice Forum agreements.

Each year we host a fundraiser that requires several people to put it together. The more volunteers, the better!

All individuals wishing to volunteer directly with clients are required to complete a criminal record check.
